Bill is an aviation career man and motorcycle enthusiast and photographer, while Njeri is trained in law, business, photography and film. They are avid travelers and love to share their experiences and talent to create entertaining, informational tips and tutorial videos on all things travel, food and culture on their travel and lifestyle channels – Wright Photo Studios. One food related video in particular has been recognized by the nationally acclaimed TV channel OETA.TV
Our Story: We first visited Kenya together in 2007 to visit Njeri’s family for our traditional Kenyan wedding. Our honeymoon was a safari to the famous Maasai Mara, Keekorok Lodge and the beautiful south coast of Mombasa, Kaskazi Hotel Resort. We immediately fell in love with the beauty and magic of Kenya. We came to understand why the people, food, culture, history, untamed landscapes of highlands, lakes, savannah, the wildlife, warm coastal regions are a magnet for millions of visitors from around the world. We are drawn to Kenya just the same and for years every time we visit our family and friends we always take the opportunity to go on safari.

Our most recent safari:- Most recently in summer of 2019, we visited the Tsavo National Park and Mombasa areas. We had lunch just a few feet from two beautiful elephants at Ngutuni Lodge. Our safari included a stay at the famous Salt Lick Lodge in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a history and culture tour of Fort Jesus in Mombasa old town, a 1 hour 45 min road trip from Nyali through Vipingo and Kilifi to Watamu town in our car rental, a tour at Temple Point resort just of the magical Mida Creek, evening walks to enjoy the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and a lovely train journey back to Nairobi on the Madaraka Express.
Other safari experiences we have had include:
- Air Safari to the Maasai Mara game reserve, game drives to see elephants and giraffes while we lodged at the Keekorok Lodge.
- Visited Nanyuki, crossed the equator twice, dipped our toes in the ice cold waters of a nearby river and lodged at a family home at the base of Mt. Kenya.
- Picked tea in our local family tea farm in Kamugunda, Central Kenya while touring the adjacent coffee plantation to learn about how coffee is grown, picked and prepared for sale.
- Had buffet lunch while enjoying elephants stop by the watering hole at Ngutuni Lodge in the Tsavo National Park.
- Driven to the highest point of the Taveta hills with magnificent view points of the valley below and Voi town in the distance.
- Soaked up the history of the Omani influence on the local people off coast at Fort Jesus in Mombasa old town, while staying at a resort on Shanzu beach.
- Taken a 1 hour 45 min self drive road trip from Mombasa through Vipingo and Kilifi to Watamu town to enjoy 2 days in this town with huge Italian influence.
- Walked along the beach enjoying the warm waters of the Indian Ocean enjoying the sun set on the Nyali and Bamburi beaches.
- Fed and hang out with giraffes at the Giraffe Center in Karen.
- Dined in many local cafes, experienced local cuisine taken the local transport and gone the rooftop of KICC to see the Nairobi City skyline
- Checked out Samburu culture in Maralal after an 8 hour long trip from Nairobi.
- Watched the Rugby World Cup at the Village Market, mall within the city surburbs.
- Visited Karura forest in search of the famed waterfall and thereafter quenched our thirst with apples from a local food stand.
